GDQ Flame Fatales 2022 Schedule Announced

Flame Fatales, the summer speedrunning marathon consisting of all women, has released its 2022 schedule. On July 8th, Games Done Quick, the parent organization, announced the full list of titles that consist of the event, taking place on August 21st-27th. Some of the games in this year’s event include a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe run, a co-op Phasmophobia run, and a speedrun of Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Games Done Quick has been the headlining series of speedrunning events since 2010. The event’s focus has always centered on fundraising for various charitable causes, including Doctors Without Borders and Prevent Cancer Foundation. This summer alone, GDQ has raised $3 million for DWB, adding to a cumulative $41 million raised since the event’s inception.

Flame Fatales is the summer event put on by the Frame Fatales community, a group of all-female gamers within the GDQ group. For this year’s event, Flame Fatales will be raising money for the Malala Fund, a non-profit group working to provide worldwide education to girls that is safe, free, and of high quality. According to Frame Fatales’ website, their winter event Frost Fatales raised $133,000 for the fund. Updated news and info on the community can be found on Twitter.
