Extreme Excitement and Expectations Rise for Arcade1Up Marvel vs Capcom 2 Cabinet

Quality Assurance Assisted by Legendary Player Justin Wong

Announced during EVO 2022, Arcade1Up excited a lot of fighting game fans with the announcement of their Marvel vs Capcom 2 cabinet. Of course, fighting game players look for the best and scrutinize input lag and overall viability probably more than any other player in other genres. Thankfully, the FGC’s collective hopes were improved since legendary player Justin Wong is involved with the project to ensure a quality arcade machine.

While a modern port is still desired for any fighting game, especially for MVC2, the attention to detail in the Arcade1Up MVC2 cabinet enables players to more readily afford a classic-looking cabinet with modern features.

Of course, online play is a big question and in a recent vlog, Wong shared that there is a type of rollback being used and an ethernet port is available for a stronger connection. If anyone knows what to look for in a cabinet like this it’s Wong so if Arcade1Up can release a top-tier way to play MVC2 it could be a huge win for retro gamers.

Interest in arcade history and games has seemed to increase with the global appeal of tournaments and events like EVO. A lot of companies have leaned into appealing to this passionate fanbase but there are a lot of expectations to overcome. Fighting game players often want quality products and are not afraid to find the best outside of main brands. Arcade1Up could make a better name for itself by working closely with these players.

Now, how about a Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike or Soulcalibur II cabinet?
