Dunkey Reveals BIGMODE’s First Game

Animal Well Goes BIGMODE!

Late last year, popular gaming comedian VideoGameDunkey announced that he and his partner Leahbee were launching a publishing company under the name BIGMODE, with the goal of raising up indie games that exude pure fun and creativity.

Here we are a few months later and the publisher’s first title has finally been announced via Dunkey’s Best of 2022 video as Animal Well! This adventurous Metroidvania comes from developer Billy Basso, who’s previously worked for developers such as Level Ex, NetherRealm, and Phosphor Studios. From what’s been shown so far, Animal Well will sport enchanting environments, biomes of lively creatures, multifaceted items, and cryptic secrets. The game’s Steam page even remarks that “Players will be discovering hidden puzzles for years.” All of this caught the attention of BIGMODE’s founders during E3 2022, undoubtedly influencing their decision to pick up the title. With Dunkey’s massive YouTube following, standing at over 7 million at the time of this announcement, Animal Well will certainly be getting a healthy amount of exposure leading up to its eventual release.

Animal Well and BIGMODE have both expressed some lofty ambitions, which makes me all the more excited to see where this collaboration takes them.
