Triangle Strategy Out Now on Nintendo Switch

Carrying the torch of Final Fantasy Tactics much like how Bravely Default echoes Final Fantasy V, Triangle Strategy is available now on Nintendo Switch. Using the same HD-2D approach as Octopath Traveler and the upcoming remakes of Live a Live and Dragon Quest III, Triangle Strategy blends the artistry of 2D pixel art assets with 3D space for a unique look that many RPG fans hope to see more often. Featuring over 20 characters with varying skills, Triangle Strategy brings a familiar, updated design to tactical role-playing mechanics.

The initial demo is something that I felt was a strong showing of what the game aimed to do and apparently that demo led to feedback that altered the game’s final design. Much like several other JRPGs from Square Enix, Triangle Strategy also features a demo that carries progress into the main game. Players can download the Prologue Demo on the eShop and play up to Chapter 3 which gives a good impression of the battle mechanics and the signature Scales of Conviction, a system that has the hero convincing their party about various decisions. Hopefully, these decisions actually affect the game’s plot in a meaningful way throughout the entire game.

Triangle Strategy is available digitally and physically for $59.99 USD. More information can be found on the eShop listing.

He got into games journalism to keep his writing skills and habits in check as he has always wanted to create a novel or write a game's narrative. Sites that have published his work include Giga Geek Magazine, Marooners' Rock, Twin Galaxies, and Popular Mechanics. Several guest pieces have been uploaded on other sites. His work has also been physically published in both volumes of the SNES Omnibus where he contributed essays on several games. He grew up in rural West Virginia, surrounded by Appalachian music and culture.

Forever Classic was the branding that was invented during a faithful summer where he became absolutely fascinated by the world of Let's Play videos and video essays on YouTube. The Forever Classic brand name has always been at the back of his mind, tying it to projects here and there, but this website will be able to collect all of those efforts into a single place as Forever Classic Games LLC.
