Metroidvania Dandara gets Free Major Content Update with Trials of Fear Edition

The Metroidvania genre is vast and deep, covering an extreme range of settings and mechanics. One of the most unique games in the genre mechanically is Dandara which features a perspective flipping wall cling that would make Spider-Man jealous. In celebration of the game’s second anniversary, Brazillian studio Long Hat House and publisher Raw Fury have announced a big content update titled Trials of Fear, all for free for those that own the game.

Trials of Fear adds in new areas, powers, music, and lots of updates that will generally improve the game. On top of this, Dandara is getting a new boss to tackle and a secret ending. The press release also mentions that new focus has been put on the game’s narrative that seeks to enhance the game’s lore and expand upon the stories of the inhabitants of Salt. This will include new dialogues, descriptions, and cutscenes for new and existing content.

Dandara is already available on all platforms including: PS4, Switch, Xbox One, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. The Trials of Fear Edition will also be available on all platforms. According to the press release, the expansion is coming soon but we can probably expect this to be available by the end of the year.

More information can be found on the various store listings or on the official Raw Fury website.
