SteelSeries Arena 7 Speakers (Hardware) Review
Impressive, Elegant Speakers that Just Work
Tying together any desk setup is a set of speakers and it can be tough picking something that works for multiple projects. This is where the SteelSeries Arena 7 slots in, as a solid sound system with plenty of ports for various types of sound gear. All in all, this might be one of the shortest reviews I’ve written as the Arena 7 is great, works great right out of the box, and looks awesome.
Like most of the SteelSeries gear I have tested since November ‘22, the Arena 7 is tied together through the GG Client. I’m not overly impressed with this software but it looks nice and it’s easier to find options than other software I’ve tried. I primarily used the standard EQ setting but there are plenty of settings to perfect the sound. I didn’t run into the random disconnects with the Arena 7 as I did with the Arctis Nova 7 headset, so I consider these speakers to be far more reliable.
Coupled with the great sound and frankly beautiful lighting, the Arena 7 speakers are easy to recommend.
Every game I played or song I blasted sounded awesome through the Arena 7, making it one of the cooler pieces in the SteelSeries catalog. I still consider the Apex Pro Mini Wireless keyboard to be my favorite item I’ve tried from the company so far, but the Arena 7 speakers are a close second. There is a surround sound option in the Arena 9 and a set without the subwoofer in the Arena 3 speakers, making for several bundles to consider.
